Will the events be ticketed, then, if you’re planning to raise money for these causes? No. What’s your vision for the events? In an ideal world, we would bring celebrities and influencers into the same room as people from charities and causes that are important to me personally. People assumed that this was already in the works, and I was like, “Somebody just leaked it.” When are you hoping to host your first dinner? As soon as possible. I’m just in my apartment all the time, and this is really the only possible solution that I have. I’m sure this is going to get pretty old pretty fast.
I cannot go to anybody’s dinner party, so I have to do something of my own. Why host a dinner in the first place? I’m operating within my existing constraints because I’m on house arrest. Another key component that remains to be seen: Who will show up for a meal with perhaps the most notorious grifter of the last decade? She allegedly scored $320,000 from the Netflix deal, but that money has since been used to pay legal fees and remunerate her victims. Who exactly she plans to invite and how much money she has to cover these dinners is unclear during my interview on Tuesday morning with Sorokin, her publicist cut her off from answering a handful of my questions surrounding the specifics.

Only a select few will be invited to the lavish dinners, which Sorokin claims will be entirely free for her guests. That’s after she served two years in prison for crimes including second-degree grand larceny and stealing a private jet flight from New York to Omaha for the Berkshire Hathaway Conference.
